Northwest Anatolia (Turkey), c. 33.5 (36.5) x 45 cm, beginning of the 21st century, with its unbelievably fine quality and 784 Turkish kts/sqcm, the present piece is one of the finest carpets in this size; besides the enormous dexterity required of the weaver, a major difficulty is spinning such fine and resilient silk weave and warp; animal/tree motif with brocaded kilim ends on both sides and mesh-braided warp threads, Özipek signature on the upper front.
